DiAS Digital Tuner
JVC's digital technology helps maximize the

DiAS (Digital Intelligent Advanced Sensing) tuner relies on
digital programming on a unified chip to deliver versatile
next-generation performance. Its advantages include high
sensitivity and selectivity with a 16 bandwidth variable Digital
IF filter, digital pulse noise canceller for all bands (FM/AM) and
intelligent Multipath Noise Canceller for longer stereo reception.
Advanced Multi-bit D/A Converter
The Multi-bit system
achieves a wide dynamic range. Moreover, its unique algorithm

7-Band iEQ

The DiAS Digital Tuner, as well as a Digital
EQ and DAC, are now housed on a single-chip DSP for digital
processing. This technology-intensive design practically shuts out

MP3/WMA Playback
The head unit is compatible with both WMA
(Windows MediaTM Audio) and MP3
compressed audio formats, including ID3 Version 2 tags for MP3. So
CD-R/RW discs containing WMA and/or MP3 files burned using a
personal computer will be playable on this head unit with equal
ease. Compared to conventional CD audio, these compression
technologies enable musical data to be shrunk to a fraction of
their original size, allowing creation of discs that contain up to
as many tunes as 20 regular CDs.
PICT (Personalized Image Capture Technology)
Personalize stills and moving images that
appear on the display panel of your receiver. Express yourself by
creating images and graphics on your computer using JVC's Image
Converter WIDE software, burn them onto a CD-R/RW and upload them
to the head unit. The head unit comes with internal memory to
store images for display on-board. You can start up and shut off
your system with the images of your choice, call up screensaver
images you like, and automatically change customized images like a
slideshow. The Image Link function lets you link an image - a
photo of a musician, jacket cover, or even a friend - with an
album of MP3/WMA music files, making it easy to identify the music
you're listening to.
Over 1700 Colors for Display Background
The LCD screen comes with 12 gradation
levels for each primary Color (red, green and blue). That makes
for a rich palette of 1728 different Colors (12 x 12 x 12)! The
screen also offers 12 factory preset custom Colors for instant
selection. You can recall any of the 13 Colors and assign it to
specific sources.
